The Okavango Delta Is A Large Inland River Delta Caused When The Okavango River Empties Onto Open Land, Instead Of The Open Sea. This Forms Africa’s Largest Inland Wetland Miracle.
Overview
The meandering water channels create a haven for wildlife. The endangered species of white and black rhino and the African wild dog, as well as huge numbers of cheetah and lion have all adapted in living in the wetland system.
Exciting activities on an Okavango Delta Safari are Mokoro Trips on the waterways (local dug-out canoes), game walks and sunset motorboat cruises. Scenic helicopter flights will create memories of the wonder of Okavango Delta.
The spectacular wildlife accompanied with breathtaking sunsets, extraordinary viewing of wildlife on land and on water, provides superb photographic opportunities.
For less water and more of the big game, visit a camp on its drier edges including Moremi Game Reserve and the Khwai Community Area.
