CAPE TOWN GARDEN ROUTE | KRUGER ITINERARY:
Day 1 – Flight Johannesburg to Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve
You will be met on arrival at O.R. Tambo International in Johannesburg and transfer for a flight to the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve. Met on arrival at Skukuza Airport and transfer to your lodge. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Park accompanied by your driver-guide and trained ranger. The renowned Sabi Sand is one of the oldest and largest proclaimed private reserves in South Africa and well known for exciting leopard sightings and incredible wildlife experience in the game rich area.

Day 2 – Sabi Sand Game Drives
A full day of two game drives and a bush walk will bring guests close to the famous African Big Five, offering sightings of Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant and Rhino.

Day 3 – Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve
After a morning game drive, relax at the pool or make use of the spa facilities on offer at Lion Sands. The lodge also offers an optional tour to a local rural village and community center. Once again the day will end with a late afternoon game drive, in the company of your experienced ranger and tracker.

Day 4 – Flight to Cape Town
A last morning game drive is followed by breakfast, after which guests are transferred to Kruger Airport for a flight to Cape Town. Guests are met upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport and are transferred to their hotel. The afternoon is spent at leisure.

Day 5 – Cape Peninsula Tour
Depart on a full day private Cape Peninsula Tour, a journey with incomparable scenery. Drive along the Atlantic seaboard, via Hout Bay on to the Cape of Good Hope and its scenic viewing point where the 2 Oceans meet.The tour traces the Indian Ocean Seaboard on the way back to Cape Town, with a visit to Boulders Beach, an attractive secluded haven, which comprises a tumble of huge round rocks on a sandy shore. The boulders are ideal vantage points for watching the antics of the colony of mainland-based African penguins.

Day 6 – Cape Town Tour
The day is spent exploring one the world’s most beautiful cities. Table Mountain, arguably the most famous natural landmark in Africa, is first on the agenda.From Table Mountain one of the most impressive views of the world can be enjoyed – the Indian Ocean and the deep blue waters of the Atlantic and the Cape Peninsula, which sinks away and allows these two great oceans to meet at Cape Point.We also visit the world famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, on the land donated to the people of South Africa by the mining magnate and philanthropist Cecil Rhodes. It is the memorial to one of Africa’s greatest son’s (Cecil John Rhodes) from where sweeping views of the entire Cape Flats can be enjoyed where we end an unforgettable day.

Day 7 – Garden Route Tour
You will be collected from your hotel and begin a scenic drive along the popular Garden Route, on winding roads with the Indian Ocean on one side and majestic mountains on the other. The route between George and Knysna is often described as one of South Africa’s most scenic, as the road travels through Wilderness and Sedgefield, allowing you the opportunity of witnessing some magnificent views over the forests and ocean.

Day 8 – Garden Route Tour – Oudtshoorn
After an early breakfast we make our way through George and travel to Oudtshoorn, by crossing the Outeniqua Mountains. We visit a local ostrich farm and experience an ostrich race, stand on ostrich eggs and cuddle baby ostrich chicks. The nearby Cango Caves, a natural wonder of the world, are then explored. The extensive system of tunnels, a quarter of which are open to visitors, extend for over four kilometers into the limestone hills. If cheetahs are of interest to you, a visit to the Cango Wildlife Ranch will be a rewarding experience. The ranch is one of the leading cheetah breeding centers in South Africa. You will be allowed to enter a fenced area and interact with and photograph a tame Cheetah. After visiting the Cango Wildlife Ranch, we return to the overnight destination.

Day 9 – Garden Route Tour – Knysna
This morning we make our way to Knysna, one of the most popular resorts along the Garden Route. Knysna is developed on the northern shore of a large warm-water estuary which is fed by the Knysna River. The estuary opens into the ocean as it passes between “The Heads”, infamous for the high number of shipwrecks in the area from times past as boats passing through the treacherous and unpredictable narrows ran aground. We take a ferry across Knysna’s magnificent estuary to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Spend time at leisure exploring this picturedque town, famous for its woodcarvings, art galleries and fresh oysters. During the afternoon we visit The Knysna Elephant Sanctuary and enjoy a closer look at the African Elephant, as we touch and feed these gentle giants.

Day 10 – George Airport – Departure
Breakfast is followed by a transfer to George Airport for your onwards international flight.
