KENYA AND TANZANIA SAFARI DAY TO DAY ITINERARY:
Day 1 – Arrive Nairobi
You will be met on arrival at JKI Airport, Nairobi.
Private transfer to your hotel in Nairobi for overnight.
Accommodation: Nairobi Serena Hotel
Day 2 and Day 3 – Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Transfer to Amboseli National Park this morning.(240 km – approx.4hrs). The park is famous for its elephant population among other wildlife species. On a clear day, you’ll also have spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world.
Enjoy morning and afternoon safari game drives in spectacular Amboseli.
Accommodation: 2 Nights at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 4 – Amboseli National Park – Namanga – Ngorongoro
Transfer from Amboseli to the Kenya/Tanzania border crossing of Namanga and continue to Arusha for lunch (160km – approx. 2.5hrs).
Visas can be purchased at the border: A Single entry Visa is valid for 3 months and can be used for multiple entries into Kenya and Tanzania. Please Note: Visas must be paid in USD, and in CASH. No bills can be older than 2006.
Upon reaching the Namanga Border crossing, you will transfer to your Kenyan vehicles before continuing on your safari.
After lunch in Arusha, resume your journey to the spectacular setting of the Ngorongoro Crater (190 KM/approximately 4 hours).

Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater Safari
After breakfast, transfer down to the crater for a day of game viewing. Packed lunch will be provided. The Crater is a huge caldera or collapsed volcano, 12 miles across, providing home for the thousands of animals that live there.
Over 20000 mammals reside in the crater, including some of the only remaining black rhinos in the world. The crater floor also has one of the highest carnivore densities in the world including large prides of lions, packs of hyenas and solitary predators like cheetahs and jackals. A keen eye and expert search patterns by your safari guide will help you spot some of the less common species like leopards, servals, and bat-eared foxes.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Serena Lodge

Day 6 – Ngorongoro / Serengeti
After breakfast transfer to Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge, made famous by the Leakey Family who began their excavations here in 1931. Abundant fossil material dating back more than a million years, including hominid remains of Zinjanthropes bossei, have been discovered here.
Continue to Serengeti National Park with a game drive en-route.(160 KM/approximately 3 hours – travelling time depends on game viewing opportunities)

Day 7 – Serengeti National Park
A photographic dream unfolds before your eyes as giraffes and elephants feast on tasty shrubbery, whilst impalas, gazelles and buffalos carefully tread through the plains so as to not become the latest meal for on-looking lions, cheetahs and hyenas.
Full day of safari game drives in the Serengeti with either packed or hot lunch depending on the movement of the animals. The Serengeti is world famous as the home of a million and a half wildebeest and zebra. There are countless other plains animals (more than 35 species) to see, as well as hippos, giraffes and black manned lions.

Day 8 – West Serengeti National Park
Continuing through the Serengeti this morning, we reach the lofty heights of Kirawira Tented Camp (70 KM/ travelling time depends on game viewing opportunities), where you will be treated to glorious views across the plains.
Dinner and Overnight: Kirawira Serena Luxury Camp.

Day 9 – Serengeti – Isebania Border – Masai Mara Kenya
Your guide will drive you from Serengeti to the Isebania border (300km – approximately 5hrs). Upon arrival at the Isebania Border crossing, you will proceed through Immigration and Customs formalities. Once there, you’ll meet with your Kenyan guide and continue into Kenya to the breathtaking Masai Mara (100km – approximately 3hrs). This full day commute includes game drives through the park.
NOTE: Please be aware that for portions of this LONG drive the road will be rough and unfinished, though most is now newly paved.

Day 10 – Masai Mara
Enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive, accompanied by an experience tracker-guide. The eco-diversity and sheer size of the Masai Mara Game Reserve houses a wide range of animal species. The most recognized are known worldwide as the Big 5, which include the Elephant, Buffalo, Rhinoceros, Leopard, and the King of the beasts, the Lion. Numerous other species of bird and wildlife inhabit this dynamic reserve including Hyenas, Gazelles, Impalas, Giraffes, Zebras, Vultures, Cranes, Eagles, Falcons, and Ostrich.

Day 11 – Masai Mara – Nairobi
After breakfast this morning DRIVE TO NAIROBI OR take a game drive en-route to the Serena airstrip for a flight back to Nairobi (1 hour) – SUPPLEMENT COST. On arrival transfer to a city hotel for a day room to relax before transfer to JKI Airport for your departure flight.
