Air Madagascar operates a daily flight from Antananarivo Airport to Nosy Be Airport and return. On quoting for your holiday we shall advise and assist you in booking these flights based on your dates of travel.

April / May / June – heavy downpours with sunny intervals – lemurs and reptiles are active and readily seen.
July and August are cool and dry and perfect for a Madagascar Holiday. The whales arrive on Ile Ste Marie in July and remain until the end of August.
September, October and November is fine and warm with the jacarandas in flower and many lemurs have their young during this time.
December is hot with lemurs and reptiles active and wildlife viewing is good.
After your Madagascar Island hopping, a few days on a Kenya Safari would be the ideal extension to view the Wildebeest Migration in Kenya’s Masai Mara. June to October are the best months to view this amazing spectacle and with Madagascar being in close proximity to Kenya, its just a hop across.

293 on Komba is located on the small island of Nosy Komba about a 30 minute boat ride from Nosy Be just off the mainland of Madagascar.
3 of the rooms are located in the main house with separate entrances whilst the 4th is free-standing and positioned as the honeymoon suite. The bathrooms offer showers only with hot water available.

Restaurant: The dining menu offers a unique fusion of local Malagasy and South African flavours. Breakfast will consist of local fresh fruit and other home produce, while dinner may include either fresh fish, prawns, Zebu (a local cattle) or chicken accompanied by the delicious Malagasy rice or fresh vegetables and salads. Fruits of Madagascar or the delicious Madagascar chocolate will cater for the sweet tooth at the end of the meal.
Activities: Whale-shark excursions, Kayaking, Tanikely Marine National Park, Lokobe Nature Walk, Scuba-diving or snorkelling are some favourite activities just few minutes away from the hotel to explore the sheer beauty of the ocean depths.
Fishing lovers will be spoiled for choice, including sport fishing, troll fishing, bottom fishing or popper fishing among others.
Nosy Sakatia is a small tropical island situated off the northwest coast of Madagascar, a still unspoilt piece of paradise only 1km west of Nosy Be.
Accommodation: consists of eleven bungalows in total. The bungalows have en-suite bathrooms, fans and private verandas overlooking the ocean. The maximum capacity of the lodge is twenty six guests.

DAYS 1-2: NOSY BE – NOSY KOMBA
On arrival to Nosy Be airport, you will be met and transferred for your first ‘island hop’ by speedboat to a striking location, the Nosy Komba Island.
Located in the NW of Madagascar between Nosy
Be and the mainland, Nosy Komba Island is famous for the families of lemurs living in its tropical forests.
Spend the next two nights at 293 On Komba lodge, situated on the beach surrounded by tropical botanical gardens.
Accommodation: 293 On Nosy Komba (Chalet with en-suite bathroom, with garden or ocean view)
DAY 3-5: NOSY KOMBA – NOSY SAKATIA
After breakfast you will transfer from Nosy Komba by speed boat to reach Sakatia Lodge, found on a small private beach.
The next three nights are spent at this paradisiac spot with
time for snorkelling, exploring the beach and the stunning tropical gardens, as well as walking on the island and generally relaxing whilst soaking up the sand, sea and sun.
Additional activities (own expense) include guided walks, sea-kayaking, hobie cats or pirogue trips, scuba diving and deep sea fishing trips.

DAY 6: NOSY SAKATIA – NOSY BE – NOSY TANIKELY EXCURSION
After breakfast, you will be transferred via boat to Nosy Be Island. From here, you will set off to visit Nosy Tanikely Marine Reserve – famed for its world class snorkelling and diving.
The day is spent on the island of Tanikely – a crystal clear natural aquarium where you will snorkel with colourful marine life, explore the underwater world of anemones and coral, and hopefully swim with a turtle or two!
Take some time to explore the isle itself, walk to the lighthouse and see the fruit bats and lemurs amongst the endemic flora. (Snorkelling equipment is included in this excursion).
In the afternoon you will be transferred by boat back to Nosy Be to Vanila Hotel, to enjoy the sun setting over the breath-taking Indian Ocean.

DAY 7-8: LOKOBE FOREST RESERVE & NOSY BE
You will be collected from Vanila Hotel after breakfast and transferred to the fishing village of Ambatozavavy. After a short walk through the mangroves you will board a traditional pirogue (canoe) to transfer you to the Lokobe Forest.
A traditional lunch will be enjoyed in the village, after
which you will spend some time walking through the dense rainforest in search of lemurs,chameleons, snakes and spiders.
The reserve covers 740 hectares and includes the last remaining lowland rainforest found on the island. You will have the opportunity to explore the village and
handicraft market before returning to Vanila Hotel.
The next days are at leisure, enjoying the swimming pools at the hotel, the beautiful spa and massage centre, or taking part in one of the many optional activities offered by the hotels excursions desk.
Options include quad biking, mountain biking, deep-sea fishing, and day trips to near-by islands (Nosy Iranja is recommended) and guided tours of Nosy Be, taking in the local
markets and shops. These optional excursions are for your own expense.

DAY 9: NOSY BE – HOME
Today your island hopping experience comes to an end. You will depart from Vanila Hotel after breakfast to catch your onward flight from Nosy Be.
